Vanilla cake with Bavarian Cream filling.  Serves 85.  All edible.
 
  Christmas is a good time of year.  The weather is wonderful, cool enough to be outside and warm enough to be comfortable.  The party is a huge event with high school students being tasked with serving all the food and desserts.  This year I got to visit with a couple young ladies there to help.  Carols are sung and stories are told.  Lots of fun.

Lots of fun to put together.  Loved doing this baby shower cake.  The cakes are Chocolate with Bavarian Cream and Vanilla with Lemon/Cream Cheese filling.

Easter for Los Ancianos 2012

Love this design.  It turned out fairly well, but my piping skills are not up to par.  The cake is chocolate and vanilla filled with strawberry cream with fresh strawberries added on top of the filling.

Chocolate cake for Edgar

A small cake for Cristian's birthday.  The cake is chocolate filled with Bavarian Cream.  I loved the marbling effect, looked like wood grain.

Sergio's Birthday

Sergio is a racing fan.  When his wife, Blanca, called to order the cake she wanted a race car.  That was just fine except I had less than 24 hours to make and decorate the cake.  I just love the way it came out. 

The cake is vanilla with Bavarian cream. 

Cupcakes for Itzel

These accompanied the cake.  The celebration is for the Mommy and not for the yet to be born baby (Ivana).  I wanted to do something for the baby so I make these as a small gift.  The cake was vanilla, filled with pineapple cream, and topped with Mousseline buttercream.

Baby Shower for Itzel

Carrot cake, all three layers, filled with Pineapple cream.  Two layers are covered in chocolate fondant and the center layer in regular fondant.  This cake kept me up at night.  I had to flip the bottom layer with the 8" diameter on the bottom and the 10" at the top.  I didn't know if the carrot cake would withstand the pressure.  Happily there were no problems. 

Valentine's Day for Blanca

Blanca has ordered several cakes over the years, always Vanilla with Bavarian Cream.  I took particular pleasure in doing this cake for here.  I loved the design and was very happy with the outcome.   Our neighbor, Eduardo, was kind enough to make the base for me.  Thank you!

The Book Worm for Samuel

I've always wanted to make this cake.  Thought it was so darn cute.  I had the chance when our neighbor requested a quick cake for his son's birthday.  Since I do his cakes in exchange for carpentry I got to choose the design. 

The cake is vanilla filled with banana cream and bavarian cream.

Lizbia ordered the cake many months ago.  All sorts of things prevented them from getting married.  But, today they had their ceremony.

The cake is vanilla and chocolate.  Fillings are Banana Cream, Bavarian Cream and Lemon Curd.

Vanilla cake filled with Bavarian Cream.  This was for the oldest daughter of Sergio and Blanca, our dentists.  This was one of the quickest produced cakes I've ever done.  The order was placed around 1PM and delivered at 7:15PM, 15 minutes early.

Happy Birthday Lorna.  The purse is pound cake filled with chocolate ganache.  The second tier is carrot cake filled with cream cheese mousse and the third is vanilla and chocolate.  The vanilla is filled with pineapple mousse and the chocolate is filled with bavarian cream.  The bottom 2 tiers are dummys.

This is white fruit cake for Los Ancianos at St. Vincent De Paul home for the elderly.  The design is a frozen buttercream transfer.  Enough cake for 75.

The bottom layer is vanilla and strawberry, the top chocolate.  It is filled with strawberry mousse.  This was in honor of Medical Appreciation Day.
